Improved hi-hat controller and bass drum pedal

The DTX452K features the same great pads and sound module as the DTX402K, but with a better-tuned hi-hat controller (HH65) with half-open function and a vertical bass drum pad (KP65) for a more realistic feel. The FP6110A bass drum pedal is also included, but you can easily use any other pedal if you prefer.

Three-zone snare pedal

To make your parts even more expressive, the DTX452K is equipped with a 7.5” TP70S three-zone snare drum pedal.

The DTX402's tones are the result of decades of creating top-notch drum machines and authentic, high-quality drum samples. With 10 built-in drum kits that include both acoustic and electronic sounds, you'll find the perfect instrument for your needs. And if that's not enough, simply create your own set from the many tones built into the sound module's memory.

Teaching mode

The new DTX 402 is equipped with ten training functions that will become a drummer's faithful companions. The Pad Gate function will help you improve the dynamics of sound production, the Gate Function will help you develop a precise sense of rhythm - the most important sense for any drummer, and the Fast Blast function will measure and display the speed of your beats. All your achievements are stored in the module's memory, so you can always objectively evaluate your progress.

Useful programs

To make music practice even easier and more fun, Yamaha has developed a dedicated DTX402 Touch app for iOS* and Android**. Challenge Mode lets you play with the built-in songs as if they were a computer game. Complete all the stages and the final level, and you'll receive a Yamaha drummer certificate. In addition to practicing, you can edit drum kits without wandering through the module's menus using the Editor function. The DTX402 is also compatible with the iOS* Rec'n'Share app, which lets you practice and perform to your favorite music and easily share your performance with friends and on social media.

Transferring audio via USB

Connect the DTX402 Sound Module to your computer with a standard USB cable, launch your favorite audio editor, and record your own game without the need for microphones, sound cards, or any additional devices.

Thoughtful design

Yamaha knows everything there is to know about drums... and then some :) It's thanks to this experience that the DTX's compact and user-friendly design was developed. The position and angle of each cymbal, toms and snare can be easily customized to ensure the most correct and comfortable drummer position. And the ability to change the height of most components of the kit makes it an ideal choice even for the youngest musicians. The DTX402 will not take up too much space in the room - the folding steel frame makes it possible to store it even in small apartments, and the quick and easy assembly, which does not require any special skills - even a child can handle it.
