Reduced fingerboard width

The narrow fingerboard, with a binding at the 14th fret, feels like the fingerboard of an acoustic ‘western’ guitar. The width of the fingerboard is only 48mm.

Precisely engineered design

As a result of precise measurements and experimentation, several refinements have been made that improve the low-frequency response without compromising durability. These changes have been further refined to emphasise the natural characteristics of specific wood species and optimised for each body silhouette.

Upgraded pickup

For easy access, the regulator has an integrated piezoelectric sensor located on the top side of the instrument shell. A battery compartment is located on the same side near the fingerboard for easy battery replacement. The unique Yamaha-designed piezoelectric pickup is traditionally located under the bottom threshold. The panel has controls for a 3-band EQ (with parametric centre) and a chromatic tuner for the most precise tuning. The power system is powered by AA finger batteries, which keeps the optimum power for quality sound.
